Half Way Check In
Half way done!
The first half of this program has gradually increased the distance of your sessions up to 1.6km. Now the program will focus on increasing the length of intervals within the sessions. The aerobic sessions will focus on longer race style intervals and the high intensity sessions will begin focusing on a large volume of fast efforts. This will be a step up from what we have been doing, so it will be challenging.
The total session distances will remain consistent to allow you to focus your energy on the increases with in the main sets. Remember consistency is key for swimming, so try and complete every session in this program to prepare yourself fully for race day.
