As an Australian born and raised brand, we have been immersed in events from the moment we launched. With this, our third summer, we have again increased the number of events we are sponsoring or partnering with. While all of us at Great Ocean Wetsuits have been present at these events across the last decades, shifting to a brand presence has really allowed us to display our goals of providing all levels of athletes with the products and the knowledge to improve and enjoy their swimming experience.
Torquay Triathlon - November 9th
The Torquay Triathlon is a versatile season starter. Whether your a seasoned triathlete or looking to jump into your first triathlon season, this is an event for you. With a picturesque course and super sprint distance, you'll find yourself loving every second of it. The swim is well protected, and a little fresh in November but perfect for a wetsuit, you then head onto the bike leg which traverses the flat Torquay coastline before running along the picturesque foreshore path to the finish. I can be easy to forget your in a race with beautiful views like this but rest assured there will be plenty of crowd to cheer you on.

Challenge Canberra - November 15th & 16th

Rip View Swim Classic (Point Lonsdale) - December 28th
Set in the beautiful bayside town of Point Lonsdale, the Rip View Swim Classic is a great way to start the summer open water season off. Last year the event saw record numbers of over 1400 swimmers take to the waters to compete across a variety of events, with distances suitable for all levels of swimmers. While the infamous passage of water known as 'The Rip', looms at the entrance of Port Phillip Bay, the waters you get to swim in are much calmer and give you the best vantage point to see Point Lonsdale from the water, that's if you have time to take a second and enjoy the view!

The Rock 2 Ramp, 30th Edition (Anglesea) - December 29th
Join us to celebrate the 30th edition of the Rock 2 Ramp this summer. Set at the beginning of the GREAT OCEAN road, the stunning town of Anglesea plays host to another staple of the Victorian Open Water Swim Calendar. This event has seen plenty of growth in recent years with the addition of new distances to complement the classic rock 2 ramp course. With the protection of Point Roadknight this event offers competitors with the unique opportunity of swimming in the true open ocean without the daunting conditions of Victoria's infamous surf beaches.

Powercor Pier to Pub (Lorne) - January 9th & 10th
The famous and for many the original open water event, the pier to pub, is the highlight of swimmers summer calendar. The pier to pub is an event that hosts up to 5,000 swimmers and 2,000 runners and has previously made it into the Guniness World Record book for largest open water swim. Set just down the Great Ocean Road in the vibrant town of Lorne, this really is an event that brings the town to life with thousands of people flocking to the beaches, cafes and bars throughout the weekend. With events featuring professional races with cash prizes, and also options to compete at the same time as friends from other categories, this really is an event for everyone.

Barwon Heads Triathlon - February 22nd
The Barwon Heads Triathlon has quickly become a key event of the Victorian Triathlon calendar. The calm and protected Barwon river hosts this amazing event, with a fast swim course in ocean fed river, giving athletes are unique swimming experience. From here, you get taken on a tour of 13th beach, with a flat (fast) bike leg down along side the ocean. Finally, you get to run the coastal track on the Ocean Grove side of the river, giving you a taste of all the different parts of Barwon Heads.
