Suiting Up

  • We recommend putting the wetsuit on when both you and the wetsuit are dry.
  • Avoid having long or sharp fingernails when putting on the wetsuit.
  • To prevent damage to the neoprene, it is recommended to use the gloves provided or only the pads of your fingers when putting the wetsuit on.
  • Pull the wetsuit up from the inside, where the nylon jersey material is less susceptible to damage from fingernails
  • Avoid pinching the wetsuit with fingernails or pulling on the wetsuit in small sections. Instead, use large folds to adjust it for a proper fit.
  • Ensure that the wetsuit is fully pulled up over the hips, leaving no excess neoprene around the legs, before continuing to pull up over the chest, shoulders and arms. Pulling the wetsuit higher up the forearm can increase flexibility through the shoulders (this comes down to body shape and personal preference).
  • Even a well-fitted wetsuit can cause chafing, particularly around the neck. We recommend using non-petroleum-based lubricants to protect the skin and the wetsuit's neoprene. If a petroleum-based lubricant is used, ensure that it is removed with a pH-neutral soap after use to avoid damage to the wetsuit.

Removing The Wetsuit

  • Ensure the wetsuit is fully unzipped before pulling the suit from each shoulder.
  • Pull the wetsuit down from the inside, where the nylon jersey material is less susceptible to damage from fingernails.
  • Avoid pinching the wetsuit with fingernails or pulling on the wetsuit in small sections. Instead, use large folds to adjust it for a proper fit.

Wetsuit Care & Storage

  • Rinse the wetsuit in fresh water after each use to remove any debris or contaminants (in the shower after a swim also works).
  • To clean any lubricants from the neck area, utilise a pH-neutral soap or antibacterial wipes.
  • To safeguard both the neoprene and the nylon jersey, make sure to fasten the rough and soft sides of the neck Velcro together. Alternatively, attach the provided piece of neoprene to the rough side of the Velcro after each use.
  • For drying, turn the wetsuit inside-out and hang in a location away from direct sunlight.
  • To minimise creasing the neoprene while storing the wetsuit, ensure the wetsuit is dry before carefully folding as shown in our instructional video.
